A WORD FROM YOUR FATHER

My child,

Long before you took your first breath, I had thoughts about your life.

Not just general ideas, but specific purposes. Unique ways your hands, your mind, your heart could extend My love into this world.

Many of My children spend years searching for their "big purpose" – some grand mission that will finally make their lives matter. But purpose isn't something you discover once. It's something you live daily.

Purpose is found in the small moments of faithfulness. In the kind word spoken. In the patient response given. In the generous act no one else notices.

When you wonder if what you're doing matters, remember: I delight in watching you live out the good works I've prepared for you.

The beauty of your purpose isn't in its size but in its source. It flows from relationship with Me. It springs from who you already are – My handiwork, My poema – My work of art.

And each time you step into even the smallest purpose, you create a bridge. A sacred connection where others can encounter Me through you.

Purpose Draws Us Closer

I spent years chasing purpose like it was a distant treasure to uncover.

I prayed desperate prayers asking God to reveal my "true calling." I read books promising five steps to discover my divine purpose. And all along, I felt like I was missing something everyone else had figured out.

Then I encountered Ephesians 2:10 in a new way.

What struck me first was the order of things. Paul doesn't say we're created to do good works and therefore we become God's handiwork. It's the opposite – we already are God's masterpiece, and from that identity flow the good works prepared for us.

The Greek word translated "handiwork" is poiema – where we get our word "poem." We are God's poetry – His creative expression in the world.

And the phrase "prepared in advance" changed everything for me. It shifted purpose from something I needed to figure out to something I needed to step into. Something already prepared, waiting for me to discover in relationship with Him.

I began to see that purpose wasn't primarily about finding the right career or ministry. It was about everyday faithfulness in whatever season I found myself.

Most surprisingly, I discovered that purpose isn't the goal – it's the bridge. Every time I live in the small purposes God has for me – encouraging a friend, serving my family, doing my work with integrity – I experience closeness with Him.

Purpose isn't something we fulfill to earn God's pleasure. It's something we receive that draws us deeper into God's presence.

What "good works" might God have prepared in advance for you today? They might seem small . Ordinary. Maybe even invisible to others. But they're bridges to knowing Him more.
